As a child of an Catholic family the child was raised in Manhattan's Upper East Side. To avoid this, her parents enrolled in the Convent of the Sacred Heart a prestigious and religious school. She has always loved music. As a little girl, she began to learn how to play the Piano. By age thirteen, her first composition was composed. She was a part of the open mic nights. The singers she admired were Queen Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. When she finished high school she attended the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music. Although she was not able to finish her studies she abandoned the school to begin her music career.
